Es fängt immer mit einer Idee an.

Geboren am Niederrhein, groß geworden als Schwabe im Allgäu, heute Bauingenieur – und leidenschaftlicher Radfahrer. Während der Corona-Zeit habe ich wie viele andere den Einstieg aufs Rad gefunden, aber beim Graveln war sofort klar: Das ist meins.

Mein Ingenieur-Hirn ließ mich nicht lange einfach „nur“ fahren. Stattdessen begann ich zu schrauben, zu optimieren und zu tüfteln: neue Teile ausprobieren, Upgrades testen, ganze Räder neu aufbauen – immer mit dem Ziel, ein Setup zu finden, das wirklich passt.

All das, was ich auf diesem Weg gelernt habe (und noch lernen werde), teile ich hier. Mein Ziel? Das oft komplizierte Universum von Gravel- und Adventure-Bikes ein Stück einfacher machen – und dir zeigen, wie du dein eigenes Traumrad aufbauen, verbessern und vor allem genießen kannst.

It all started with an idea.

Born on the Lower Rhine, raised in the Allgäu, trained as a civil engineer – but none of that really matters once I’m on a bike. Like a lot of people, I rediscovered riding during the Covid years, but gravel? That hit different. That stuck.

The engineer in me never lets things stay “good enough.” I started swapping parts, chasing upgrades, tearing down bikes just to rebuild them a little better. Always searching for the setup – not the lightest, not the flashiest, just the one that feels right when the road turns to dirt.

This space is where I share that journey: the wins, the failures, the weird ideas that sometimes work out. If you’re into gravel or adventure bikes and you want to cut through the noise, maybe you’ll find a bit of inspiration here. Or at least a nudge to go ride your bike and see where it takes you.
